A Bit About Me

I am a horticulturist with more than two decades of experience working at the intersection of science, land stewardship, and practical food production. My background includes plant propagation, sustainable crop production, agricultural research, and landscape consulting, all grounded in a PhD in Horticulture and years of hands-on experience in the field.

Throughout my career, I have established and managed commercial farms, founded the Bahamas’ first plant micropropagation laboratory, and worked in agricultural education and outreach. These experiences have shaped my approach to consulting—one that values thoughtful planning, ecological responsibility, and solutions that are both beautiful and functional.

I founded Terra Vita Horticultural Consulting to support clients who want more from their landscapes than aesthetic appeal alone. My work focuses on helping homeowners and land stewards design and care for outdoor spaces that nourish the body through productive systems, restore the mind and spirit through intentional design, and strengthen a lasting connection to the land. At the heart of my practice is the belief that well-designed landscapes can enhance daily life while fostering resilience, sustainability, and harmony between people and nature.
